 Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the practice of applying scientific principles of behavior in a systematic way to promote significant behavior change. The practice is used most extensively in special education and the treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It should be individualized for each participant and their specific needs. ABA should be fun, placing a significant emphasis on positive reinforcement and natural consequences. 

Therapy at North Star is often funded by insurance. North Star accepts most major insurance providers including, Medicaid. Insurance providers will most likely require an Autism diagnosis. Please feel free to contact the office with specific questions.

North Star Behavior Therapy provides ABA at a rate individualized per child. Depending on a plethora of information including age, functioning level, areas of excess or deficit, and location of therapy, a professional recommendation will be identified for each individual child and family. 

North Star Behavior Therapy requires collaboration with family members in order to assure effective and maintained behavior change across time. The exact rate of family evolvement will depend on each individual child's needs at the time.
